Welcome to the new home of Kita-Kon! Also, Everyone say hello to Yukino, Kita-Kon's "Mascot".

Kita-Kon is the only Anime Convention between Toronto, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba. Making it the only Convention serving Northern Ontario and Northern Minnesota. And with the growing popularity of Japanese Culture in North America it's a great way to meet other people with the same interests. Whether it be Video Games, Anime, Manga, Music, Fashion, or Traditional Culture.

So again, Welcome to the Kita-Kon Website and we hope to see you for Kita-Kon 2008!

Only 1 Month until Kita-Kon 2008!

Kita-Kon is only 1 month away! And that means soon tier 1 Registration will be closed in a few short days. That means August 4th will be the last day that the registration price will be $20. So please tell your friends or family to register before the price is increased to $25.

The schedule for Kita-Kon will be posted in the next couple days, so if you want to host your own panel now would be the best time to register. We only have 2 spots left in our panel room so you better hurry!

Kita-Kon has announced it's AMV (Anime Music Video) rules and guidelines along with the online registration. More event rules and registration will be announced in the near future.

The Official Vendors List has also been updated. We would like to thank all of the Vendors that have registered and are still interested in registering.

Alright! It's crunch time for myself and all of this years staff as Kita-Kon 2008 is less than 4 months and counting! And while we are discussing things like Events, Rules, Schedule, Programming, and Equipment were are all hoping that everyone else is discussing Cosplay, Merchandise, and Registeration. This year has been somewhat tougher to pull together. Last years will be nothing in comparison!.

As you may have noticed, the site has been updated once again (I'm truly sorry for the messed up display in Internet Exploror, I'm working on it!). This includes the offline Registration forms and online event registration forms such as Panels and Masquerade. You may also notice there is a poll on the bottom of the site, we want to get as much feedback from the Anime Community in Thunder Bay as possible so from here on we will have a new poll once a month and we will publish the results and see what is best for the fans in Northwestern Ontario!

On a side note, it was great to see a whole lot of new faces at Hillcity Comics for Free Comic Book Day. Many of which were there to buy Manga and Anime! This means that we could hit our goal of 200+ Preregistrations with the help of all of you! So please tell all of your friends and lets make this the greatest Convention in all of Ontario!

This year Kita-Kon will be held August 28th-29th 2008 at the Victoria Inn Conference Center, 555 Arthur Street W. Special guests will be announced in the near future *hopefully!* And we hope to see you there!
